Church (Anglican)

Church founded in medieval times. The nave was rebuilt in 1739 by Thomas Woodward of Worcester, and the whole church was rebuilt 1894-1898 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. The church was largely destroyed by fire on 21 February 1941 during an air raid. Rebuilt 1954-9 and reconsecrated 28 May 1959 by the architects Leslie T. Moore and Sir Percy Thomas, although Moore withdrew before building began.

Stained glass at the church lost in the war included a five-light east window by James Powell & Sons, north and south aisle windows by Clayton & Bell, and a west window of 137 by A.K. Nicholson.
