Church built in 1930–2 to replace a wooden church built in 1898 for Edith Agnes Longueville. This building appears to have been sited in no less than three locations. The present site was purchased for the wooden church in around 1915, and funds for a permanent stone building were raised from 1926. and the foundation stone was laid in in February 1931. The building was designed by Gilbert Fraser of Liverpool, and built at a cost of £3,750.
