Church (Anglican)

Site presented in 1897 by Thomas Williams and others. Built 1898 by Prothero & Phillot of Cheltenham, in local Cilgerran stone, from quarry near the old Parsonage. Cost £1600. Font and pulpit from demolished private chapel at Pentre, Newchapel, in the parish and brought here in the 1970s. Holy Trinity Chapel was built 1878 at Pentre as a chapel-of-ease for £3000 by Mrs Saunders Davies of Pentre, but was for all practical purposes a private chapel for the owners of the estate and their dependents.
