John Prichard (1818–1886)

Architect responsible for many churches in the Diocese of Llandaff, and elsewhere in Wales. Prichard subscribed to the Gothic ideal as espoused by A.W.N. Pugin, with whom he became acquainted through training under Thomas Walker. He worked in partnership with J.P. Seddon on the restoration of Llandaff Cathedral, as well as other buildings before Seddon left to work independently in London from the 1860s. John Prichard is buried beside the cathedral at Llandaff.

Obituaries include Building News, 22 October 1886 and The Builder, 31 October 1886.
