Chapel of the Deposition

Submitted for the 1958 exhibition at the Tate Gallery, London entitled 'The Religious Theme' organised by the Contemporary Art Society. Nearly 70 British artists contributed, by invitation. There was no selection process; the invited artists sent in whatever they chose, one item each, and that was what was shown.

A study for the painting is in the collection of Leeds City Art Gallery.
