Sir William Richmond (1842-1921)

Richmond succeeded Ruskin as the Slade Professor at Oxford in 1878, and was Professor of Painting at the Royal Academy. He is perhaps best known for his portraits and for the decoration of St Paul's Cathedral, after which he was knighted in 1897.
