Stephen Dykes-Bower (1903-1994)

Church architect. Stephen Ernest Dykes Bower was born in Gloucester and studied in Oxford and London, establishing his own church building and restoration practice in 1931. He was Surveyor of the Fabric for Westminster Abbey and was responsible for many notable church and cathedral building and restoration projects in England. He also designed many church furnishings.
