Paul Woodroffe (1875-1954)

Book illustrator and stained glass artist. Paul Vincent Woodroffe studied at the Slade School of Art from 1893-6, and then worked with Christopher Whall until 1901. He undertook a major commission for fifteen windows for St Patrick's Cathedral, New York, which he commenced in 1909. Paul Woodroffe established his studio in Chipping Camden from 1904 until 1935, moving then to Stroud and then Axminster, before retiring to Sussex.
