J. W. Brown (1842-1928)

Stained glass designer. John William Brown worked at Morris & Co. before joining James Powell & Sons as a glass painter. He became one of their senior designers but, like Henry Holiday, also designed windows made by other firms, such as Fouracre & Watson and the Gateshead Stained Glass Co.
