about 1958
Panel depicting the Virgin and Child with a colourful background of blues reds and purples.

technique: stained glass

artist: Richard King

Church of the Holy Cross, Aberaeron, Ceredigion

The window is signed by the artist.

The building re-opened as Catholic Church in 1958, and the window was probably given to the church by the artist, soon after. One of two windows by the Irish artist on the Ceredigion coast, the artist titled it Our Lady of Ireland.

A similar window of the Virgin & Child by the artist has recently been identified at Macroom, Co. Cork.
