Apostles Baptising a Family

about 1924 Two-light window with a standing figure laying hands on woman who is part of a group who are kneeling and in an attitude of prayer. A figure opposite faces them, his hand raised, and the dove of the Holy Spirit descends in light. technique: stained glass firm/studio: Robert J. Newbery Church of St Peter, Goodwick, Pembrokeshire north wall of the chancel Text: 'Until the day break and the shadows flee away' (Song of Solomon 2:17 and 4:6). Given in memory of Philip Granville Harries Porter (1900-1924), a lieutenant in the Royal Artillery. The meaning of the scene is not clear, but probably represents a baptism.
