Powerful figure of the crucified Christ, with the Hand of God the Father above, and heads of Mary and John on the arms of the cross. The letters A & O (Alpha & Omega - the beginning and the end) with the Hand of God.

Dedication: Given by Robert Feild in memory of his brother Richard Feild, Churchwarden until 1952.

Composition shows the Orthodox influences upon the Revd Francis Stephens (1921-2002) Hon. Curate at St Mary's, Primrose Hill, London 1971-91. The principal designer of the Faith Craft workshops from 1950 until the firm closed in 1968. This rood was one of his early designs for the firm.
