The Risen Christ with Soldiers

Let us now praise famous men and our fathers that begat us.' The latter part is from the Wisdom of Jesus Son of Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 44:1. The main figure in the left-hand light is the crusader, John de Barrie, who is buried at Manorbier, and the arms of de Barrie are shown above. On the right is a soldier of the Holy Land Expeditionary Force, and the red dragon of Wales above. |
