(John 17:26) 'As thou hast sent Me into the World, even so have I also sent them into the World.' (John 17:18) 'That the World may believe that Thou hast sent Me' (John 17:21). Behind the altar under a crucifix: 'I am in them and Thou in Me Perfect in One' (John 17:23). Appropriately for the place of the Eucharist, the texts come from the long dialogue at the time of the Last Supper from John's Gospel. |
