The Writers of the New Testament
1888 Sgraffito panels in the chancel. The Four Evangelists are located in the sanctuary, seated with scrolls, with their symbols depicted below. On the north side of the chancel, a panel shows the figures of Peter and Paul, and the epistles of James and Jude are symbolised by fishing nets. Vine motifs are added above the figures.technique: sgraffito artist: Heywood Sumner Church of St Mary, Llanfair Cilgedin, Monmouthshire chancel |
