Joy and Peace

2017 A pair of complementing windows above a door. The left window 'Joy' features the text 'Gloria in excelsis Deo'. It celebrates the life of Christ and depicts a sunburst of light, the star of Bethlehem and symbolic flora and fauna associated with Christ's birth, teaching, death and resurrection. The right window contains the text 'The peace of God which passeth all understanding' from the book of Common Prayer. It is centred on a cross from which emanates the solar system, a waterfall and baptismal shell and symbolic plants and flowers. technique: stained glass size: 67 cm x 214.5 cm artist: Deborah Lowe Church of St Peter, Glasbury, Powys north wall of the nave Signed with an arrow rebus plus 'D. LOWE' and the date 2017 in the bottom right corner of the right window. The left window is dedicated 'To the Glory of God : given by Margaret Anne Gill 30th June 2017'.
