Joy and Peace

It celebrates the life of Christ and depicts a sunburst of light, the star of Bethlehem and symbolic flora and fauna associated with Christ's birth, teaching, death and resurrection. The right window contains the text 'The peace of God which passeth all understanding' from the book of Common Prayer. It is centred on a cross from which emanates the solar system, a waterfall and baptismal shell and symbolic plants and flowers.technique: stained glass size: 67 cm x 214.5 cm artist: Deborah Lowe Church of St Peter, Glasbury, Powys north wall of the nave Signed with an arrow rebus plus 'D. The right window is dedicated 'To the Glory of God : and in memory of David Lawrence William Gill (1934-2017)'. |
