Photo © Martin Crampin | 1937 Three-light window. The central light includes figures of the resurrected and enthroned Christ, above scenes of the Nativity and Annunciation. The outer lights include the figures of the four evangelists and their emblems, as well as the Old Testament prophets Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. The shield of the Trinity is also included in an upper quatrefoil light. The instruments of the Passion are also included at the sides of the central light, which also carries quotations from the creed.technique: stained glass firm/studio: A. K. The window is dated 1937 in the list of windows by Nicholson published by the British Society of Master Glass Painters in 1939. |
