Text held by angels above: 'Be strong and of a good courage', a phrase found several times in Deuteronomy 31 and Joshua 1 before and after the death of Moses as the Israelites were about to enter the promised land. Given in memory of Sir W.T. Lewis (died 27 August 1914) by his children. |
