Church of St Matthew, Newport north wall of the nave (now converted to a hall) The composition of the window is clearly intended to match that of its neighbouring window, depicting David. Text: 'Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it' Psalm 127:1. Dedication: 'To the Glory of God and in ever loving memory of the late Samuel Whitmore J.P., who died Oct. 13th 1929. Erected by his widow and family. |
