Two-light window. Figure of Christ walking on the waves, greeting the frightened disciples on the boat.

technique: stained glass
size: 48 cm (width of each light) [approx]
firm/studio: Lavers & Westlake

Church of St Peblig, Caernarfon, Gwynedd
south wall of the nave

Text: 'It is I, be not afraid', a phrase used in the accounts of the story of Christ walking on the water according to Matthew (14:27), Mark (6:50) and John (6:20).

The window was given in memory of W.F. Taylor Morgan, died 14 December 1896, aged 20.

The window seems to be the work of Lavers and Westlake, whose other windows, also from the 1890s, are elsewhere in the church.
