The Baptism of Christ

Christ is baptised by John in the waters with the dove of the Holy Spirit descending and the words of God 'This is my Beloved Son. At the base of the window are symbols suggesting the occupations of two of the commemorated, a solicitor and a builder.technique: stained glass firm/studio: Goddard & Gibbs Church of St Teilo, Merthyr Mawr, Bridgend south wall of the nave Signed with GG monogram, London, 1992. Given in memory of Major O. Glyn Davies (1912-1990), his wife Stella (1912-1991), his brother John (1922-1949), and father Idris E. Davies (1889-1957). The professions of O. Glyn Davies (solicitor) and Idris E. Davies (builder) are reflected in the window. |
