about 1936 Two-light window with standing figures of the two translators of the Welsh Bible. technique: stained glass firm/studio: probably Burlison & Grylls Church of St Mary and All Saints, Conwy south transept An open book at the top of the window has the Welsh text 'Yn y dechrae ydd oed y Gair' (In the beginning was the Word, John 1: 1). Given in memory of Mary Jane Eliza (1843-1936), wife of George Swinford Wood of Bodlondeb. She was descended from both men depicted, from William Salesbury through her father and William Morgan through her mother.  (ObjectID=1719 ImageID=3428) Original File Name=_MG_2800.jpg
