1877 Three-light window. Depicts Christ, St John the Evangelist with the chalice and St Peter holding a key and a book. Four musical angels in the tracery.technique: stained glass firm/studio: Morris & Co. designer: Edward Coley Burne-Jones Church of St John the Baptist, Newton, Swansea east wall of the chancel Christ is clean shaven, following the image on the medieval pulpit. The figure of Peter uses the same cartoon (but with different coloration) as the that by Morris, Marshall Faulkner & Co. in Llandaff Cathedral installed in 1874. Given in memory of Revd Edward Doddridge Knight, Rector. |
