Catrin Jones (1960-)

Architectural and stained glass artist based in Swansea. Catrin Jones was born in Cardigan and studied on the course in Architectural Stained Glass at Swansea from 1980-82. Following her graduation she established Glasslight Studios with four other ex-students. She worked on numerous ecclesiastical commissions before leaving to pursue an independent career in 1987. Most of her work is for architectural contexts, but she occasionally produces work for exhibition and has works in public collections in Britain and Japan. She has worked for a wide variety of clients, installing work for all kinds of public buildings such as theatres, libraries, schools, hospitals and places of worship.
