A prophet in the trefoil at top of the window holds a text.technique: stained glass firm/studio: Lavers, Barraud & Westlake Church of St John, Porthmadog, Gwynedd north wall of the chancel The text held by the prophet at the top of the window reads 'I know that my redeemer liveth' (Job 19:25). Text beneath the scene in the left-hand light: 'Why seek ye the living among the dead' (Luke 24:5), and beneath the scene in the right-hand light 'Touch me not' (John 20:17). The window is not visible from the main body of the church; photographs taken from above the roofed meeting room created in the original chancel. |
