about 1985
Five-light window. The upper part of the main lights depict a chalice on the left and wheat on the right (suggestive of the Eucharist), with Alpha and Omega. Lower part of the main lights include hands and lilies. The shape of a cross is delineated in lead lines at the centre of the window. Blue and green glass in the tracery lights.

Church of All Saints, Rhiwbina, Cardiff
east window

The window may have been commissioned in 1984 and a design for some of the panels from Tim Lewis archive is dated 1985. However, two panels from the window are dated 1990 in captions for illustrations in Stained & Art Glass (2005).
The window incorporates white opal glass as well as English antique glass to create a contrast of textures.

The main theme of the window is 'All Saints' to whom the church is dedicated. The small circular white glass 'lenses' are symbolic of the many saints. The lilies represent the Virgin Mary and the hands represent the apostle Thomas.

With thanks to Sally Davies and Janet Lewis for information about the window.
