Mervyn Baldwin (1934-)

Born in 1934 in Lincolnshire, Mervyn Baldwin was educated at Grimsby and Leicester. He was a Rome Scholar (sculpture) from 1960-62, and lecturer in Leicester, Cardiff and Newport Colleges of Art between 1962 and 1975. He has shown widely throughout Britain and Europe with the 56 Group Wales and three one-man exhibitions at the Grabowski Gallery, London. The Welsh Arts Council commissioned him in 1969 to produce a sculpture multiple. He is represented in public and private collections in Wales, Germany and America.
