The Resurrection

1861 Three-light window. technique: stained glass firm/studio: possibly John Hardman & Co. St Woolos Cathedral, Newport east wall of the chancel The window was removed in the 1960s. The window is described by W.N. Johns in 1891 as depicting the Burial, Resurrection and Ascension. A newspaper photograph appears to confirm that the resurrected Christ is shown at the centre of the window, but is more likely to depict Peter and John, and perhaps the three women, in the side lights. The style of the window is consistent with the work of John Hardman's of Birmingham, who made other windows in the church.  (ObjectID=5073 ImageID=) Original File Name=
