An Angel Greets the Three Women at the Empty Tomb with St Luke and St John

1874 Three-light window. The crowded central scene at the empty tomb is flanked by standing figures of Luke (left) and John (right). In the upper central light Christ is seated in Majesty with orb and sceptre, between angels with censers. technique: stained glass size: 56 cm (width of each light) firm/studio: probably Bell & Almond Church of St Gwrthwl, Llanwrthwl, Powys east wall of the chancel The window may be tentatively attributed to Daniel Bell, who was working in partnership with Richard Almond at the time. Contemporary work by these artists can be found at the Church of St Peter, Lampeter.
