Christ with Disciples and Saints

1896 Central panel depicts Christ as shepherd with seven disciples, one of whom kneels, with standing figures of the saints Melangell, Asaph, Beuno, and Winefride at either side. medium: wood technique: carved artist: Thomas Earp designer: F. R. Kempson Church of St Beuno, Berriew, Powys east wall of the chancel The subject of the main panel is not immediately clear. Christ stands among a group (but not all) of disciples. One figure is kneeling, could this be a post-Resurrection scene, with Thomas making his declaration of faith, or with Peter being exhorted to 'feed my sheep'?
