1901 Two-light window with standing female figures. technique: stained glass size: 120 cm (width of whole) [approx] artist: Henry Holiday Church of St Matthew, Buckley, Flintshire north wall of the chancel Texts: 'Righteousness exalteth a nation' (Proverbs 14:34); 'I have chosen the way of truth' (Psalm 119:30). Dedication: 'In grateful memory William Ewart Gladstone and of Catherine his wife dedicated by H.H. & C.H.' Given by the artist Henry Holiday and his wife, personal friends of Gladstone. The window and the south east window of the chancel is in memory of W.E. Gladstone of Hawarden, on several occasions Prime Minister under Queen Victoria.
