Four-light window. Anna and Simeon (holding the Christ-child) are the main figures shown at the left, with Mary and Joseph on the right. Angels in the tracery lights.

technique: stained glass

firm/studio: John Hardman & Co.

St Woolos Cathedral, Newport
east wall of the south aisle

A well-balanced composition. The figure of Joseph is seen holding a lighted taper, emphasising the words of Simeon (Nunc Dimittis) at the Presentation of Christ in the Temple.
