Christ with St Martha and St Mary Magdalene

about 1880 Two-light window depicting Christ's encounters with the two sisters of Lazarus prior to the raising of Lazarus. technique: stained glass firm/studio: John Hardman & Co. Church of St Eurgain and St Peter, Northop, Flintshire north wall of the north aisle Texts: 'Thy brother shall rise again' (John 11:23) and 'Though he were dead yet shall he live' (John 11:25). Replaces an earlier window by Clutterbuck depicting the raising of Lazarus. The window offers an interesting contrast with Clutterbuck's own treatment of the meetings of Christ with Martha and Mary Magdalene on the opposite side of the church.
