1870 Carved corbels. medium: stone technique: carved artist: W. Clarke & Sons Church of St Margaret, Roath, Cardiff either side of the chancel arch Similar pair of heads at Llandaff Cathedral. Prichard's sculptors at St Margaret's were Clarke and Son of Llandaff. Heads represent the Jewish and Christian faiths. The bound and gagged Synagogue is symbolic of the Jewish faith being blind and deaf to the revelation of God in the person of Christ, whilst Church symbolises the hope and joy of Christianity.
