Symbols in the upper tracery lights of an otherwise plain large window. Includes texts, angels, crowns, flowers, the instruments of the Passion, alpha and omega, chi-rho, IHS monogram. technique: stained glass Church of St Andrew and St Teilo, Cathays, Cardiff west wall of the nave Probably by Robert Newbery, who made other windows for the church. Texts: He was despised and rejected of men (Isaiah 53:3); He humbled Himself to the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8); with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). |
