In memory of Major William Edmund Logan Stewart and his wife, and given by their daughter Mary Elizabeth Halliday. Petts' 1965 window in the chancel was given in memory of their son, and again Mrs Halliday contributed to the design. According to Mr David Gealy, the sinking sun strikes through the central sun of this west window, the coloured light moving progressively through the nave and chancel, finally settling on the altar cross and 'setting it on fire'. Petts thereby achieved a profound linkage between creation-Son (sun) of Righteousness-Glory.
