about 1850-1860 technique: painted Artist: John Ellis Troughton Church of St John the Baptist, Penymynydd, Flintshire west wall In this mural Troughton has adapted Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld's interpretation of the scene, as used in his illustrated Bible Die Bibel in Bildern, published 1852-60.
